PASTA PIE

As soon as I saw this dish in a photo I knew that I had to do it. This is a fun and simple dish. The pasta is probably the dish that most children like and if it comes in pizza shape then you will be successful for sure. I had a lot of doubts about how to name this dish, I didn't know whether to name it pasta pizza or pasta pie, finally I named it pasta pie. By the way, my kids loved it.

PASTA PIE
For 6-8 people. I used a 28 cm mold

INGREDIENTS

  6 liters of water
  60 gr salt

  750 g pasta
  560 g tomato sauce
  50 ml water
  160 g tuna

  70 g boneless olives
  70 g sweet corn
  150 g mozzarella

INSTRUCTIONS

Place the water in a pot and heat it, add the salt. When the water is boiling, introduce the pasta. Important, boil the pasta 2 minutes less than the recommended time in order to leave it "aldente". After that time, drain the pasta, cool it with water as little as possible, just until you can manipulate it with your hands without burning yourself.

With the warm pasta, begin to put it inside the mold. To facilitate the work, leave the mold slightly inclined. Put the pasta vertically, as if they were pillars. When you have completed the entire mold, let cool a little. Let the pasta dry and stick together.

Meanwhile, prepare the sauce. In a bowl place the tomato sauce with the tuna. Mash everything up until there are no lumps. It must be quite liquid, otherwise it won't go into the pasta holes, so if it's necessary add some water to make it more liquid. Pour the sauce on top of the pasta with the help of a spoon so that the sauce gets inside the pasta well. Then, decorate with tuna, olives, corn and mozzarella. Finally preheat the oven to 150º and heat it for about 10 minutes.

I hope you like it. Enjoy your meal.
